A weekend of possibilities for Sports fans

A busy end to our busiest month ever and everyone is just looking forward to the weekend. Keep reading to get the full calendar of racing and sports action that will take you into October.

AFL Grand Final

The 2018 NRL Grand Final on the hallowed MCG turf comes on Saturday. No question that it’s a tight call between West Coast and Collingwood with the bookies just shading favouritism to the Magpies in the betting market.

Always a day of anticipation and glorious possibilities for AFL punters so head over to Sportsbet where you'll be faced with a truly massive selection of betting markets for this absolute blockbuster.

It’s up to you if you wish to join us here but we see the better value on West Coast’s side and we are quite happy to pop the Eagles into our bet slip.

Our Tip: Back West Coast @ 2.25

NRL Grand Final

Sunday is the day of the week that's all about the NRL Grand Final. Ahead of the crucial final day clash the bookies are tipping Melbourne Storm after fullback Billy Slater successfully challenged his shoulder-charge suspension and has been cleared to play in the Grand Final.

It’s a cruel world for Roosters fans with the prospect of a Cronkless team. Cooper Cronk really does seem like a big longshot to be able to take the field due to a shoulder injury but has been given until kick off to prove his fitness. Can they keep it going without him?

Our Tip: Back Melbourne Storm @ 1.67

Big chances to turn a profit on racing action this weekend with four straight days of galloping action on the cards.

The Group 1 AJ Moir Stakes is the feature race of the day on Friday at Moonee Valley where boom sprinter Nature Strip has drawn barrier seven in a 13-horse field.

On Saturday a capacity field will contest the Group 1 Epsom Handicap at Royal Randwick and on Sunday Caulfield comes alive for the Group 1 Underwood Stakes.

Sydney’s public holiday Monday may be a chance to relax for some but it's not an excuse to skip a fantastic day of punting at Royal Randwick.

The Rugby Championship Round 5

Week five of the Rugby Championship rolls round this weekend so pull up a front row seat at your online bookie and put on your best performance in the many markets you can have some brilliant bets on. Here's the schedule.

  • South Africa v Australia – Fox Sports @ 1:00am
  • Argentina v New Zealand – Fox Sports @ 8:30am

English Premier League Round 7

Round 7 of the English Premier League will keep you busy being busy this weekend. Perhaps the most important game being the Liverpool and Chelsea in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It’s no surprise to see high flying Liverpool priced at $2.30, with Chelsea at $2.88 and the draw $3.50. The history books tell us that both teams have the capability to win the match and both teams are on fabulous run having netted 14 times this season so it seems safe to assume we will be treated to a glut of goals on Sunday.

Our Tip: Back a high scoring draw
