Amy Shark tops ARIA awards betting

Punters have been backing Amy Shark to win female artist of the year at the Aria Music Awards held on 28th November and broadcast from the Star Event Centre, Sydney around Australia on the Nine Network.

Best known for her 2016 single "Adore", the 32 year old singer songwriter is streets ahead of other female artist nominees being the $1.40 favourite while her Album, Love Monster, has emerged as the $1.44 favourite to be named Album of the year.

Spokesman Sportsbet said: Shark’s music is brilliant and while she’s had a meteoric rise to fame we’re tipping she’ll be on stage, accepting awards, more than once at the ARIAs.

There’s a strong line up for the best male artist however with South African-born Troye Silvan leading the pack at $3.00 but the odds hint that Gurrumul $3.50 or Dan Sultan at $4.00 could be in with a shout.

The electronic music duo Peking Duk are favourite to pick up the award for best group but our personal pick in this category is 5 Seconds of Summer at $3.30. The group who wll perform on the night is also nominated for Song of the Year (Youngblood), Best Live Act and Best Pop Release.
