Best bets for UFC Fight Night 144

UFC Fight Night 144 is set for action in Fortaleza Brazil this weekend headlined by a very exciting Bantamweight rematch between Raphael Assuncao and Marlon Moraes.

And if that statement doesn’t whet the appetite, how about Jose Aldo against the surging Renato Moicano in the Co-Main event? Everyone is saying it's one of the better Fight Night cards in recent memory.

Who’s your money on?

RAPHAEL ASSUNCAO VS MARLON MORAES, BANTAMWEIGHT MAIN EVENT

Marlon Moraes

Ok, so, as you well know by now, these two have got history. This is a rematch of the preliminary card of UFC 212 in June 2017 when Assuncao ended up taking the split-decision victory.

Ranked #5 in the Bantamweight division, Assuncao is all action inside the Octagon, respected for his fast movement and defensive ability. He clearly has the power but expect him to be given a torrid time by striking ability of Marlon Moraes.

Marlon Moraes is in a hurry to get back from last time. He has beaten John Dodson, Aljamain Sterling, and Jimmie Rivera and with a full 5 rounds to get his own back we'll be disappointed if he doesn't.

Prediction: Moraes by KO/TKO at $3.75

JOSE ALDO VS RENATO MOICANO, FEATHERWEIGHT CO-MAIN EVENT

Jose Aldo

Legendary Brazilian Jose Aldo is is a big underdog with Australian online bookmaker Neds but the impressive wins over Frankie Edgar and Jeremy Stephens show he has a great chance of making good against Renato Moicano.

Despite Moicano's very impressive submission against Cub Swanson last time out, we expect the excellent speed and takedown defence Jose will be the stand-out performance of the night to claim an underdog win.

Prediction: Aldo to Win $2.10
