Bookies make Tweedie favourite to be next Bachelor

Handsome Channel 10 presenter Scott Tweedie is denying rumours that he's about to become Australia's next Bachelor but the bookies reckon there's still a strong chance he will star in the popular dating show.

After reportedly been offered the role of the Bachelor for next year's season online bookmaker Sportsbet have posted him the $2 favourite ahead of fellow Channel Ten's  Bondi Vet star Dr Chris Brown at $2.50.

Last season's Bachelor, the Honey Badger left a bitter taste with viewers when he refused to pick a winner so it's highly likely Channel Ten will play this one safe and use some in-house talent who's prepared to play by the rules.

Previous Bachie contestants are also in the running for the role with Todd King, the third favourite on $4.00 and Apollo is at $7.50 odds, while Bachelor in Paradise star Jarrod Woodgate tipped as a $14 shot.

And as the debate rages over on social media, Sportsbet have priced some possible tennis stars into the market with Bernard Tomic the most likely at $18, John Millman at $51 and Nick Kyrgios at $101.
