Collingwood just shading favouritism

A day of anticipation and glorious possibilities for AFL fans and punters on Saturday with the 2018 Grand Final between West Coast Eagles and Collingwood.

West Coast and Collingwood have ridden their luck at times this season but having weathered the storms of their Preliminary Finals in absolutely emphatic fashion it's fair to say that both teams will be starting to feel they deserve to win this one.

Collingwood are just shading favouritism with most bookies and of course this match is being played at MCG which makes a strong argument for backing the Magpies to win.

However, West Coast have won both of their games at the MCG this season including a spectacular win against Collingwood and have managed to pip the Magpies five of the past seven games they have played, twice at MCG. Therefore, with so little to split the teams the value-bet may well be on West Coast to win @ 2.30.

Tip: Back West Coast @ 2.30

The Total Points line has been set at 161.5 points. There’s been some brilliant moments in recent Grand Finals with high-scoring affairs grabbing the headlines.

Infact Over 161.5 Points have been scored in six of the past eight AFL Grand Finals. Could this be the season that trend comes to an end? Of course not. Back Over 161.5 Points

Ahead of the crucial final day Josh Kennedy comes in as the $8 favourite in the First Goal Kicker betting market and after kicking the first goal in the Preliminary Final last weekend the mood is positive.

Brave punters may want to go with bigger odds in this market with Travis Varcoe. It’s hard to argue with his contribution this season and he was very sharp against Richmond last weekend. A top top player at a fun price of $23 to get the game off to a great start for the Magpies.

Tip: Back Josh Kennedy @ $8
