The Autumn Sun readied for autumn campaign
The Autumn Sun is being readied for a big autumn campaign with a barrier trial at Rosehill on Tuesday and trainer Chris Waller is excited about what the future holds for the three year old.
"The Autumn Sun has furnished into a stronger, more mature three-year-old and I'm excited to see him back in action," Waller said. "He has been entered in the All-Star Mile as a precaution and everything is an option."
Arrowfield boss John Messara who bought 50 per cent of The Autumn Sun said he is expecting the triple group 1 winner to race mainly in Sydney.
"I'd think we'll start with the three-year-old races, like the Hobartville and the Randwick Guineas, after that it's open," Messara said.
"It's exciting to see how well he has spelled ahead of this preparation. I can't see him having a busy campaign, but that will be up to Chris. That said, the All-Star Mile is a precaution in case we happened to get a wet autumn."
Online bookmaker Bet 365 have The Autumn Sun at $7.50 to win the All-Star Mile, with Grunt $10.00 and Happy Clapper $13.00.
