Tsitsipas targets Nadal in Australian Open semi

After beating Roberto Bautista Agut to set up a semi final clash against Rafael Nadal in the 2019 Australian Open, Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas is convinced he is living the fairytale.

Rafael NadalFighting back from a break down in the first and third sets to eventually come out on top against Bautista Agut was a fine example of determination and never-say-die attitude and that could be a real factor against the Spanish superstar.

"It all feels like a fairytale, almost," Tsitsipas said after swatting aside Roberto Bautista Agut "I'm just living the dream, living what I've been working hard for.

"I feel a bit emotional but not too much because no, I worked real hard to get here. At the start of the year I said my goal was semis of a grand slam. When answering this question I thought I was crazy. But no, it is real and it just happened."

"I would say the biggest challenge was preparing for that match," Tsitsipas added. "Social media, general media were going crazy after that win [against Federer]. It got people's attention.

"My biggest challenge was staying concentrated and focused. I'm really happy with how I played today because it showed that didn't happen accidentally."

Tsitsipas is $9.00 to win the Australian Open outright, whiel Rafael Nadal can be backed at $2.37 and Novak Djokovic at $2.10.
